Delaware 4H Foundation - Charles L. Busker EndowmentIn 2007, Charmayne, Philip, and Sara Busker established the Charles L. Busker Endowment within the Delaware 4-H Foundation. The funds will be invested with the Foundation’s other endowment funds and will produce income to be used to provide annual support for the Delaware 4-H Cow Camp Program.

The Cow Camp Program began as a day-long dairy fitting and showmanship workshop that the Busker family hosted on their farm for several years in the 1980s. Charles “Chuck” Busker was very involved in reinventing the camp in 2002 and the program now hosts up to 65 4-Hers for an educational experience at the Delaware State Fairgrounds. He volunteered as a leader for the camp, as well as provided calves for campers that needed them.

In establishing this memorial endowment, the family and friends have agreed that the fund will have a minimum funding level of $20,000, but the endowment is an open fund capable of receiving additional contributions at any time.
