Hanna Harvey's Trip to National 4-H Congress
"This past November I attended the National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Georgia. I have been in 4-H for ten years and this trip was the highlight of my 4-H career. While on the trip I met new people, and made tons of memories. It was amazing to see that 4-H is all over the United Sates, and even in Puerto Rico. I along with some others in the Delaware delegation met a few girls from Ohio who were really cool to talk to and hang out with, and we still keep in touch." Hanna Harvey
Who Is Hanna Harvey?
I belong to Porter Gang in New Castle County, a club that is a traditional 4-H club, so my project interests are of a wide ranging variety. The projects areas that I have completed have been sewing, cooking, fishing, health, and the goat project. Through these projects I have earned many awards such as top honors in public speaking, demonstration contest, favorite food, fair exhibits and project books. One of the highlights of my goat project happened this past year at the Delaware State Fair when I was selected as the Goat Grand Champion Showman. 4-H has given me many opportunities to work with younger members, and has helped me realize that I want to pursue a career as a teacher. Through 4-H I have had so many wonderful experiences and opportunities, and I am looking forward to many more in the future.
