THE DELAWARE 4-H FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Delaware 4-H Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization formed to manage private funds in support of the 4-H youth development program in Delaware. As an educational organization, we encourage young adults to pursue education and training beyond high school.
$4,000 is available to support one or more scholarships offered for Delaware 4-H members to pursue higher education. This award is to recognize continued 4-H leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS: 1. Completion of five years as a 4-H member, three of those in Delaware. 2. High school graduate enrolled full-time at any two- or four-year institution of higher education for the fall of 2011. 3. College students (freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior) of any major. 4. High school seniors will be evaluated separately from matriculated college students.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Scholarship selection will be based upon 4-H Projects/Activities/Involvement; Teen Leadership/Mentoring; Community Involvement; and Extra-Curricular Activities. Please limit application information to space provided. Only current transcript and letters of reference may be attached. Incomplete application packages will not be considered. Failure to be officially enrolled or attend college during the fall of 2011, will relinquish eligibility for this scholarship. Scholarship proceeds shall be returned in the event of above stated conditions. Completed application form, current grade transcript and up to two current reference letters are due to the State 4-H Office by May 1, 2011.

This scholarship will be presented on Saturday, July 30, 5:00 p.m. at the State 4-H Awards Celebration, Centre Stage, Delaware State Fair, Harrington and other local awards ceremonies as appropriate.
